Is the collected work of Jesse Stagg, award winning creative director, producer, thinker/doer who has been breaking ideas since the '90's. His creative career kicked off as a Jr Art Director at the Ogilvy Advertising agency, cutting his teeth on campaigns for VW, Shell, and Audi.

Relocating to Los Angeles, he joined Turner Group as Art Director at Hanna-Barbera studios, later Cartoon Network Studios, in charge of concepting, art directing and implementating all major new studio marketing initiatives. Stagg’s super successful launches of Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab, Cow and Chicken, Johnny Bravo, and many others, gave rise to a new generation of animated TV superstars birthed by the Emmy-winning World Premiere Toons (Cartoon Cartoon) on Cartoon Network.

Departing Hanna-Barbera, Stagg worked on projects for, Disney, WB, Fox, ABC, Hollywood Records, Sega, Mattel, TNT and others, before joining with Disney Online, designing album sites for The Lion King, Toy Story, Austen Powers, Monday Night Football, and album sites for Queen and Insane Clown Possee for Hollywood Records.

Stagg later joined Viacom/Paramount Studios as Creative Services Manager. Under his remit for all licensed properties including: Twilight Zone, The Godfather, Mighty Mouse & Terrytoons, Top Gun. Designing and directing the production of distinguished style-guides, posters, sell-sheets, logo design and brand systems. Overseeing a new global brand identity for the Star Trek franchise, and produced the first-ever digital style guide in the entertainment industry.

Stagg went on to join CBS/Infinity Radio FTM, spearheading the creation of Alternative/Modern Rock, Urban & News/Talk websites in the major US markets. As Senior Art Director on KROQ.com, LIVE105.com and KCBS.com, he won 3 International Web Page Awards, and received multiple award nominations and prizes including Webby's, Wammy's, and the RTDNA Edward R Murrow Award for excellence.

The original cartoon series The 7th Portal was created by Stagg and produced by Marvel comic-book legend Stan Lee. It broke records for an animated online series, became a successful 3D ride at Paramount Parks throughout the USA and internationally, and coined the word "Webisode", now in Webster’s Dictionary.

Stagg was the Communications Chair of the Graphic Arts Council of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. During his tenure at LACMA, he rebranded the Council, tripled its membership, commissioned new works by artists Shepard Fairey, Raymond Pettibon and Kenny Scharf. At Stagg’s urging, LACMA was the first major institution to recognize Video Games as a major art form, and initiated the “Into The Pixel” Annual Awards to recognize excellence in the medium.

Stagg worked with the artist Banksy as US consultant to the 2006 record-breaking Barely Legal, LA Art Show, 30,000 attendees in 3 days.

In 2014 Stagg curated and produced Shepard Fairey's tribute to Nelson Mandela in Johannesburg with the painting of an 8-storey mural. Inspired by South Africa's historic Purple Rain Protests, the artwork marked the passing of Mandela and the 20th anniversary of Democracy. Praised by the US Ambassador as “a monumental tribute to the world’s greatest statesman.” For the full story see: thepurpleshallgovern.com

Stagg was recently profiled in VICE.com for his early work as a creator of large scale music events in the nascent Rave and HipHop scene in South Africa, which is amusing considering how massive "EDM" has become.

Jesse Stagg has lectured in Media Arts at UCLA D|MA and AFDA the South African School of Motion Picture & Drama.

He continues to practice at the intersection of Design, Entertainment and Technology and counts down enthusiatically to the Singularity.

Recent advances in digital technologies have already radically transformed the way in which spaces and objects are produced, both physically and conceptually. Within the building and manufacturing industries, sophisticated file-to-factory fabrication procedures have become increasingly commonplace across all stages of the design process – from early conception and schematic design, to final physical realisation. Digital design methodologies are often implemented to assist with spatial planning and optimisation of projects, while the ability to rationalise and fabricate complex geometries in-house allows architects and building professionals to integrate full-scale rapid prototyping into earlier stages of the design process.

Since 2010, I have been assisting creative practices across the globe in the realisation of complex art, architecture and design projects by providing a range of digital fabrication services - which sit outside the realms of practice.
